The Myer Fashions on the field is the ultimate Australian style contest and iconic fixture of the Melbourne Cup Carnival! For my look I have been inspired by Australian fashion and the Flemington rose garden. I have sourced Australian cotton and naturally dyed it with Australian avocados and roses. The drape radiates from the models’ waist like rose petals opening. The gown is multiwear allowing the muse to change her look three times, should she desire. Hand sewn hemlines and inner construction give opulent finish. Styled with Australian cotton wearables to celebrate our local cotton industry, leaders of sustainable cotton production. Millinery and bag are Australian made by Lauren J Ritchie Millinery and Glomesh. Heels are vintage by Belleseime, sourced from a charity store.
