The outfit actually started with the shoes - I loved them and envisioned a look complimented by natural straw accessories. I found the linen gingham fabrics, which I thought were the perfect colours and texture for a spring racing look. I designed and made a skirt and top combination, which worn together looks like a dress. I adore statement sleeves and am thrilled with how my ruffle sleeves turned out. I couldn't find jewellery I liked to match, so ended up also making my own bracelet, earrings and ring.
