EMERGING DESIGNER AWARD ENTRY Design name: “Salvatore Rose” My name is Lennee Graham and I live in the small rural town of Bundaberg, Queensland. Abit about me… I don't really have a fancy story to tell, however, I am a mother of 3 beautiful girls and partner to an incredibly supportive husband with a passion for design and the creative outlet it gives me. I have been custom making wedding gowns and formal dresses for approximately 10 years and am obsessed with the craft of ‘garment construction’. In recent years, I have studied a course in pattern making and completed courses in corsetry which has allowed me to take my creativity to the next level for my clients. Throughout my 10 years of experience I have learnt many different styles of design and have been fortunate enough to work with many clients over the years who have trusted me with their most special pieces. Which brings me to another piece of my story… I have been a Hip Hop Teacher for 15 years at one of our largest, Local Dance Studios in Bundaberg. From doing this, my passion for Dance and being around the ‘glitz, glamor and showmanship’ of this rewarding side hussle has helped inspire me to intertwine my two passions to create stunning, stand out gowns for my clients. From this, I have also been lucky enough to create many of my students' formal gowns and wedding dresses which is a huge and rewarding ‘full circle moment’. For those that know me, know that I am a very shy person at heart but extremely passionate about making others feel amazing and confident. Living in a regional town like Bundaberg, you can be limited to finding resources quickly… However, you learn to be very resourceful and push to be more creative by thinking outside of the box to create the desired design. Some career highlights have been presenting on the runway at the Brisbane Ekka for 2 years running as well as being the Designer of the cover of the campaign shoots for Ekka.I have also presented collections for the Brisbane Fashion festival. Just recently, I have just shot my very first campaign shoot for my very own label ‘Wolf Blonde’ The designs form this collection are both beautiful and fierce and all pieces are hand crafted from start to finish in my small Studio in Bundaberg by myself.
